What is the Diversity Visa:
The Diversity Visa (DV) - also known as the Green Card Lottery- is a U.S. government program that provides a pathway to lawful permanent residence (a green card) for individuals from countries with historically low rates of immigration to the United States.

- Annual Cap: 55,000 visas are made available each year.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Country of birth: Must be from an eligible country. Countries with high levels of recent U.S. immigration are excluded.
2. Education/Work experience: Must have at least a high school education or two years of work experience in a job requiring at least two years of training.
